Why join EYPUK?

The European Youth Parliament offers its participants a transformative learning experience. Every year, thousands of young people join our activities and become a part of our vibrant network across Europe.

Reasons to join the EYP

  • Experiencing new cultures, meeting interesting people from all over Europe, and forming lasting friendships across borders.

  • Discussing, learning more about, and exchanging different perspectives on some of the most relevant topics that affect our lives, Europe and the world.

  • Equipping yourself with unique skills and experience in teamwork, leadership, debates, public speaking, organising, media, and much more – and doing it in an engaging and entertaining format.

How to join EYPUK

There are two ways to become a member of EYPUK. The first is to attend a multi-day EYPUK Session (such as an extended Regional Forum, or a National Session) as a member of a school team, also known as a delegate. Delegate participation in EYPUK events is open to young people in the United Kingdom aged 16-18, regardless of school or background. It is a great way to experience EYP for the first time, to get a strong understanding for the work that we do, and to learn how our events run. After participating at these events, individuals are able to indicate their interest in becoming a member of EYPUK through a form.

The second way to become a member of EYPUK is to is to complete a straight-forward application form, linked here, and if successful, pay a one-time £10 registration fee. The application is reviewed by a selection committee, and the candidate will be informed of its success or failure within 30 days of submission. Anyone between the age of 16 and 25 can apply.
