Meet the Team

EYPUK is ran by two bodies: the Executive Committee and the Board of Trustees. Together, these two bodies are jointly responsible for the daily running of the organisation.

Executive Committee

The Executive Committee (also known as the Exec) is elected by members to fulfil an elected term of one year on the National Committee of EYPUK. They are the direct liaison to the wider member community and help run Regional Fora, plan EurVoice events, coordinate our communications, and facilitate and prepare social events. They work closely and on a daily basis with the Board of Trustees and their respective advisors. The President of the Executive Committee leads the other members and reports to the Board of Trustees during committee meetings.

  • Alba Tenesa Navarro

    President
    Hiya! My name is Alba (she/her), and I am super excited to preside EYPUK this year. This means I’ll be working with a team of the rest of the National Committee, especially the Exec to help them reach their goals, represent EYPUK abroad and be a friendly face! Outside of EYP, I am in my second year of university, studying Law and Social Policy at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. I love hiking, reading, and travelling with my friends. If you have any questions about the charity, I am always here!

  • Rachel O'Neil

    Regional Forum Co-ordinator
    Hello my name is Rachel O’Neil and I am one of the Regional Coordinators this year alongside Will and Rosie. I’m from Newcastle and I’m currently going into my final year studying law at Northumbria University. This year, I’m really looking forward to progressing our Regional Fora and focusing on the way in which we jury & the fairest way to do selection for our National Sessions. Outside of EYP, I work at Newcastle United on a match day.

  • Will Hand

    Hiya! I’m Will and am very happy to be this years’ Regional Coordinator (RC), alongside Rosie and Rachel. As RC, I will be coordinating with and overseeing our Regional Head-Organisers and Officials in order to bring 14 Regionals to the UK in the 2026-2027 cycle! For a little bit about me, I am originally from America but have lived in The Gambia for my teenage years–before moving to the UK! I currently live and study in Bath, where I study Politics and give tours around the beautiful and historical city. I have been lucky enough to travel extensively around Europe, predominantly within the EYP Network, and I am elated to ‘give back’ to the charity that has given so much to me.     Hiya! I’m Rosie (she/her), an 18-year-old first-year History, Politics, and Theology student at the University of Glasgow. However, I am originally from Newcastle. As Regional Coordinator, I work alongside the wonderful Rachel and Will, and I support the sessions across Scotland and Northern Ireland. Having been involved in youth leadership and parliamentary advocacy for several years, I am deeply passionate about creating inclusive, accessible spaces where young people can find their voice and engage with politics and so pleased that I can support this amazing charity!     Members Development Officer
    Hello, my name is Luca and I am this term's Member Development Officer (MDO)! Alongside looking after our Members' Training Weekend, onboarding calls and the members’ email, this means I am here to be a friendly face for all members. I'm currently in my second year of Philosophy and Politics at Liverpool and I've been in EYP since 2024. Beyond that, I love tennis, the mountains, music, and debating! As the MDO, I am here for all members, so please feel free to reach out about anything at all!

    Communications Co-ordinator
    Hey! I’m Beyza and I’m one of this year’s Communication Coordinators, alongside Finn. My role involves supporting communications, content creation and expanding our online presence. Since joining EYP in 2024, I’ve had the chance to attend wonderful sessions in the UK and, more recently, abroad. Outside of EYP, I’m an engineering student at UCL and love tennis, crocheting and photography.

    Hey there, I’m Finn (he/him). I’m 19 and one of the Comms Co-ordinators for this year alongside Beyza. I’m very much looking forward to diving straight into this role by continuing the professional media output and information support of my predecessors. I have fallen in love with EYP and tried to get involved as much as possible with this being my next step in that process. I now can't wait to see what the next year brings though my involvement! I’m very happy to be joining the Exec and contributing to the amazing work we do alongside the rest of the NC board. Outside EYP I’m currently studying Philosophy at Southampton University.

    Hey! I’m Harry, I have the privilege to be EYPUK’s Events and Alumni Officer this year! I have been involved in EYP for 2 years now and I am grateful to be part of this amazing charity! As Event’s Officer I will work to make sure our events are of high quality and are inclusive, work to establish our Alumni base, and organise a social event or two! Beyond EYP, I am from Northern Ireland and I study Anthropology and Politics at Queen University Belfast, and any extra time I spend playing sports or at the gym!

    Hello! My name is Catherine, and it is an honour to have been elected as one of the EurVoice Coordinators, on the EYPUK Exec for another year. I would love to continue work to expand the EurVoice programme, supporting many more young people across the UK to learn about issues that affect them locally and how they can make change. Outside of EYP, I study medicine at Imperial and voice at the Royal College of Music.

    Hello everybody! My name is Aidan, and I am delighted to have been elected as an EurVoice Coordinator alongside Catherine for the 26/27 term. After HOing EurVoice Glasgow In March 2026, I am super excited to continue to contribute to Eurvoice! I have been involved with EYP since 2025! Outside of EYP, I'm a 3rd year Television Production student!

    Fundraising Officer
    Hey hey! My name is Liv, and I am super excited to be serving as Fundraising Officer this year. I’ve been involved with EYP for over three years now, and have had the chance to official at sessions across the EU and in the UK. I’m studying Public Policy & Politics in Toronto for the next couple of years, and am looking forward to using my connections across Canada and Europe to expand the charity and develop our international collaborations! Outside of the charity, I love anything outdoorsy, especially skating and hiking.

Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees is largely made up of members who have served on the Executive Committee and also individuals who have great expertise in fields ranging from education, the law, politics, accounting and local government. The primary purpose of the Trustees is to be both financially and legally responsible for the charity and to help set the strategic goals and business plan for the future of the organisation. The Trustees are led by the direction of the Executive Committee and wider members to help ensure that EYPUK is an organisation that is growing in a sustainable manner.

    Chair
    Hello, I’m Claudia (she/her) and I am the Chair of the Board of Trustees. I have been involved in EYPUK since 2021 and it is great to step into this role. My role as chair encompasses supporting the Trustees and the President in their tasks and goals for the term! Outside of EYP I am completing an LLM in Human Rights at SOAS University of London.     Vice-Chair and Treasurer
    Hello, my name is Dan. I am the Vice-Chair and Treasurer of the Charity, responsible for seeing many of our fantastic events at the charity. I am 22 years old, and I grew up in and around Brighton! Having recently graduated from an Economic History degree at the University of Oxford, I am now working as a History Teacher in London.   • Sophie Woodward

    Regionals Trustee
    Hello! My name is Sophie (she/her), and I’m excited to be this year’s Regionals Trustee. This means I’ll be working with a team of Regional Coordinators, Head Organisers and Officials to bring the magic of EYPUK Regionals to schools, universities and venues across the UK. I’ve been involved with EYP since 2023, starting as a direct member. Otherwise, I’m in my third year of university, studying French and German at the University of Edinburgh, and can usually be found reading, cooking with my friends or having EYP-endorsed adventures all over Europe.     Members Development Trustee
    Hi, my name is Isaac McAreavey and I am the Members Development Trustee for this term. That means that I am involved in international governance, registering new EYUK members, sending delegations abroad and the Member’s Training Weekend event. In addition to EYP I also studied Economics and Politics at undergraduate level, now taking a year to work and figure out exactly what sector I want to work in. As for hobbies, I play bassoon and piano - not very well - on the side in several orchestras. All this aside, I cannot wait to work with the Trustee team to help shape our vision for EYPUK, and if you have any questions at all feel free to reach out to me!

    Communications
    Hello, I’m Katie (she/her), and I’m our Comms Trustee. My job is to lead the Communications Team and help EYPUK to be recognisable, appealing and easy to understand. I’ve been involved since 2019 when I attended an event with my school, but I became really invested in EYP when I was midway through University. I have been to EYP events in 9 countries across Europe, and I cannot emphasise enough how much I have benefitted personally from being a part of this organisation. I am Welsh but based in Manchester, where I completed a degree in Psychology, and I now work for the University of Manchester.

    Hi there! My name is Myles (he/him) and I am excited to be the new Events Trustee for EYPUK! I’ve been involved with EYP since 2022, and over that time, it has led to so many exciting opportunities and has led me to meet some of my closest friends. This year, I aim to pay those opportunities forward, helping to ensure the smooth organisation of the charity’s events, and creating new events formats to engage our members and alumni! Outside of EYP, I am currently in my 3rd year studying medicine at Newcastle University, and in my spare time, I love playing the guitar and going for a run!

    EurVoice
    My name is Molly (she/her) and I am the Trustee for EYPUK’s outreach programme, EurVoice. EurVoice aims to offer young people from less advantaged backgrounds the opportunity to develop their communication and critical thinking skills through free and inclusive forums across the UK. Each session allows the young people to discuss and debate issues that affect their local community and that are most important to them, as well as the chance to communicate with prominent local decision-makers and stakeholders. My role is to support the EurVoice co-ordinators in providing these events and increasing EurVoice’s outreach. Having been involved in this incredible organisation for over 6 years, I’ve seen first hand what an incredible impact Eurvoice has had on many young people, and I am excited to be part of the furthering of this important scheme.

    Hello! My name is Emily (she/her), I am 20, and I’m currently doing an intercalated BMSc degree in Global Health. I am originally from near Glasgow but have spent the last three years living and studying in Dundee. I have been involved in EYP since 2021, throughout which I have had the opportunity to attend a multitude of events across the UK and Europe. For the last three years I have been on the board of EYPUK, undertaking the roles of Regional Coordinator and Members Development Trustee. This year, I am excited to be taking on the role of Nationals Trustee and overseeing the organisation of our National session.     Hi! My name is Beccie White (she/her) and I am the National Safe Person and Designated Safeguarding Lead for EYPUK. I am in my final year studying French and International Relations at the University of St Andrews. I have been involved in EYP for over five years and I am looking forward to ensuring that our events have a welcoming, inclusive and safe environment.
